Your dedicated partner for TPIAT islet cell processing
IsleNova was founded to support institutions and physicians who want to offer TPIAT but lack the specialized facilities, equipment, or expertise for islet cell isolation and processing.
Our role
Bridging the infrastructure gap so you can offer TPIAT
We provide comprehensive, high-quality islet cell isolation services for patients with refractory painful chronic pancreatitis, genetic pancreatitis, and other conditions requiring pancreas removal. By removing the irreversibly damaged pancreas, TPIAT can deliver significant pain relief while preserving the patient's own islets to help protect against brittle diabetes.
Our goal is to bridge critical infrastructure gaps so you can offer this life-changing procedure while maintaining continuity of care for your patients — without the need to refer them to distant centers.
Patient candidacy
Patients who may benefit from TPIAT
Refractory chronic pancreatitis
Patients with debilitating pain and significantly reduced quality of life despite exhausting traditional medical and endoscopic treatments.
Genetic pancreatitis
Patients with hereditary or genetic forms of pancreatitis, including PRSS1, SPINK1, and CFTR mutations, who often present at younger ages with severe disease.
Pediatric & younger patients
Special consideration for younger patients and children with severe disease, where early intervention may preserve greater islet mass and improve long-term outcomes.
How we partner with you
End-to-end collaboration with your clinical team
Patients are best evaluated by a multidisciplinary team that typically includes transplant surgery, gastroenterology, endocrinology, radiology, and other relevant specialists. We work collaboratively with your team throughout the entire process.
01
Candidate evaluation support
We assist your team in identifying and evaluating TPIAT candidates — reviewing imaging, history, and prior treatments to confirm appropriateness.
02
Pre-operative planning
Logistics, transport, processing timelines, and back-table support confirmed in advance to ensure seamless day-of-surgery coordination.
03
Organ procurement & handling
On-site back-table procurement support available to minimize warm ischemia time and optimize tissue quality prior to processing.
04
Islet isolation & processing
cGTP-aligned islet isolation with full quality assessment — IEQ quantification, viability, sterility — before release for transplantation.
05
Return transport & infusion support
Purified islet preparation returned to your operating room with full documentation, chain of custody, and infusion coordination support.
No existing TPIAT program?
We can help you get started
If your institution does not yet have a formal TPIAT program, we can help facilitate the assembly and coordination of the necessary multidisciplinary team. Our experienced team has the clinical and operational expertise to help new programs launch successfully.
Multidisciplinary team coordination
We help facilitate assembly of the surgical, GI, endocrine, and radiology teams needed for a successful TPIAT program.
No distant referrals required
Keep your patients local. Our processing partnership means you can offer TPIAT without sending patients to distant specialized centers.
Continuity of care
Your patients remain under your care throughout. We handle the islet processing so your team can focus on what you do best.
